The First Fill
Its been a while, i have moved houses and haven't had the Internet connected. My last post was discussing my previous appointment and the wondering if at the following i would get a fill. Well i haven't really done any exercise, i haven't consciously walked or been to the gym.
As i waited in the clinic for Dr Ong (Lilian was away) i wondered if i had gained weight. I didn't feel like i had lost weight and when it was time to weigh it showed that i had gained 1kg! I knew this meant that i was going to get a fill. This is a great relief because i have been able to eat whatever i want. I haven't kept a food diary which i will do from Monday to see how i go.
I have an 11ml band and Dr Ong put 4ml in for me. This is the maximum of the old style of band and I'm OK with that, i feel the restriction kind of, all I've eaten today is a cup of noodles and an Iced Coffee and a few cups of tea. I am on mushies for the next two days to allow the Fill to adjust.
Its a new beginning for me - August is my month to really give this weight loss thing a go. I have signed up with a gym which is only a 5 min walk away. I start a new job on Monday which is 2km away from my new house and so i will be walking to work each day, so i will have 40mins of walking each day. I will be going to the gym 3 days a week and also taking the dog for a walk and within walking, gyming, dog walking and work i will be completing my studies as a Nutrition Assistant. Well i don't think ill be finished but i will be completing alot of subjects.
I am very excited for August! I next see the clinic again on 2nd October and i will see the Dietitian and Lilian then. First goal for the 8 weeks is to lose 10kg. I am currently 126.5kg. I believe i am for a good chance. I hope to lose more than 10kg as my high school reunion is not too far away from that.
